Are you "The Real Estate Apprentice?"

One successful candidate will receive $45,000 for one year to begin a career in real estate. An informational meeting for qualified individuals will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2008, 7:00 pm at Des Moines Golf and Country Club.

We are extremely excited to bring this new concept to our company. We will choose the best of the best for our "Real Estate Apprentice". This is the chance of a lifetime for one hard working individual. They will get personalized instruction and coaching from experts in our field.

The Coldwell Banker Apprentice position is a 12 month term. Current and experienced real estate agents are exempt from the program. The objective of this exciting position is to cultivate the Real Estate Apprentice into a thriving long term independent contractor in a short period of time. All start up costs, specifically licensing and ongoing expenses during the year, will be paid by Coldwell Banker Mid-America Group, Realtors® and "The Real Estate Apprentice" will be responsible for their automobile costs, cellular phone, and personal marketing.

The apprenticeship will be demanding and rigorous. Residential real estate is not a 9 to 5 job and "The Real Estate Apprentice" will need drive and ambition to keep the pace.

Minimum work requirements for "The Real Estate Apprentice" will be:

• A six day work week with a minimum work schedule of 45 hours per week
• One weekend off per month and one paid week of vacation
• Two or more open houses per weekend
• A minimum of two hours per week on education and practicing scripts
• Twenty hours per week for person to person prospecting

Once selected, the Real Estate Apprentice will study and sit for the real estate licensing exam. By July 1, they will be an active member of the real estate community.
